Externship & Fieldwork Experience

Prepare For The Real World

Textbooks and formal lectures will only take you so far. When all is said and done, you have to experience the real life situations and human interactions that you’ll be faced with once you start your career. At Carrington College, we believe the real world can be the best classroom and that’s why all of our allied health programs include an externship, clinical rotation and/or fieldwork practice. These could take place in a physician’s office, hospital, clinic or similar work environment. This is a requirement for graduation and most students find it to be the most rewarding part of their education.

Our institutions have established strong relationships with many medical facilities across the western United States in order to make it possible for you to learn new skills and to have the chance to put them to work in a real-life setting.
